I noticed that the admin panel records the last known IP address of users, but when I use the show XML button (<xsl:value-of select="iPageInformation:ShowXML($oUser,'User Base')" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>) there does not seem to be a record in that XPath.
it would help us if the IP could be recorded in a format retrievable via XML

Hi there -
I was told by the Support team that Administrators no longer have the ability to remove a post -- I find this a little unnerving and hope that this function will be restored ASAP.

recently new comments were added to the email notification system, however the email received is both inconsistant with the other email notifications in terms of formatting and goes to the wrong tab:

Click here to view the group page

clicking that link goes to the "about" tab of the event rather than the logical "activity" tab where the new comment was added.

Has any thought been given to letting members delete posts? Several members are asking after posting in the wrong discussion thread...

Now that our commnuity is growing, I am finding it cumbersome to reorder Discussions due to seeing all the Community and Social Space Discussions being in the same list; sort by sequence would also be useful.
I would also find it handy to know if a Discussion is owned by a Group or an Event.

Recently the creation of groups was simplified to ask only for a name with optional description, then optional invites and edit settings or skip. It would be a HUGE time saver and avoid a lot of confusion with our users if events acted exactly like this.
1) We request that Event Creation to be the same as Group Creation – skipable steps
a. Have the ability to skip the venue location step
b. Have the invitation “pop-up” window appear when you click “save”
c. Include on the page the ability to add the logo/edit settings on the spot OR skip.
It would be helpful if the Port had a way to let all their clients know when there was a bug, so we don't have to each investigate the problem when brought to our attention by a member, submit a support ticket and wait for the "This is a global issue that we are aware of and are looking into" message. An example was yesterday when times were being counted down in seconds. Right now one of the activity widgets seems to have a problem so I've submitted a ticket but suspect it may be a global problem that others have already discovered and reported, or will discover and need to spend their time investigating and reporting.
Our old bulletin boards had the ability for users to create polls and they were used very frequently in our old community. THe viewing topics, there was an icon that indicated that a thread was a poll.
The AddComment call has a non-required field "ItemTitle", this value is title of the "asset/story/article" being commented on.
The ItemTitle field is required if this is the first comment for this story/asset/article and is used as the "title" returned from calls like GetMostCommentedCommunityItems, but that field is not used to update the title on later AddComment calls.
Please update this web service call to update the title on the remote article object when itemTitle is passed in on AddComment calls so that results from call like GetMostCommentedCommunityItems can return valid and up to date content.

Our members are asking loudly for a way to see all Recent Posts across the message boards. Any chance that such a widget could be in our future?

Members have been saying that when they answer messages from their Inbox, it does not show that the message was sent. Some sort of indication that the message has been sent would be a huge help.

I think this would be an awesome widget to include on Discussions within each message board. Would give a more user-generated way of creating sticky topics, in a way.

We'd talked about this in the Beta Discussions group, but the link to that thread is broken now since it's ended.
Our community members are really craving some better search functionality. Specifying name, post title, date posted, etc. It would also be great to search within a specific timeframe.

I understand having an original post in Discussions be shorter on subsequent pages, but I don't understand why signatures are not included on an original post at all. Isn't that remedied by the "Show more" feature you've enabled?
It makes great sense to me for users to know who is writing a post, aside from just seeing a picture and username. More so in the original post than in replies, even. It's awkward that a user's sig would appear in replies and not in his/her original post. Most regular users in our community are in agreement about this and have complained to me.
