Best Practices
1. It's recommended to use the 3 column layout option for your community landing page.
2. The recommended widgets to place on your home page are below:
* Community Activities
* Community Announcement Block
* Community Feeds
* Latest Blog Entries
* Featured Events*
* Featured Groups
* Featured Blogs
* Featured Members
* The Community Event* Calendar or Upcoming Events
3. It's recommended that you lock the Community Announcement Block as this is a main channel with which you can reach out to all of your members on their home page without running the risk of it ever being removed.
4. It's not recommended that you add any personal widgets on the community landing page by default. These are widgets like 'My Status Update', 'Friends' Activities', 'Group Activities', etc. These types of widgets require the user viewing the page to be logged in to properly populate content. These widgets are meant for your individual community members to add to their personal home pages if they choose to do so. However, by default, it's a best practice to stick with global community widgets on the community landing page.
