What do I need to give ThePort in order for Google to verify Domain Ownership?
    By kcoleman
Google Apps services requires proof that you own the domain you are requesting serviced.  While the service is used mainly for Google Apps it can also have impact on the crawling of your site.  For instance:  if you verify ownership of your domain with Google and then request that your site be removed from Google's search engine.

How is this done with ThePort since ThePort hosts your community site?

There are several ways to verify domain ownership with Google.  However, ThePort's preferred method is to upload an HTML file directly to our servers.  If you'd like to do this please follow the instructions from Google here.  Once you've created the googlehostedservice.html please provide that file to ThePort via a Parature Support ticket and we'll upload it directly to our servers.
