September 24th Minor Release
On September 24th, at 5:00am, ThePort Network will have a ‘Minor Release’ to all communities. The release impacts all clients using ThePort Social or Blackbaud Social community software. This will be a Medium Impact/Medium Risk release and will include the following enhancements and bug fixes:
Enhancements:

Caching Improvements for Site Performance.
The results of our testing have been extremely promising. We are hoping that you will see some noticeable differences when updating content throughout your site. After the site performance improvements have been released, we will complete another round of testing in our production environment. This additional testing is done to ensure it performs as efficiently as it did in our test environment. More information on these exciting improvements is coming soon!
Bug Fixes:
Social Objects

When a group is renamed, all of the groups assets (blog, photos, videos, wiki, about, documents, etc.), will now have the correct URL reflecting that change. Users will no longer receive an error page when trying to access the group’s assets.

When a group is renamed, there will be a prompt informing the user that the change will affect all of the URLs of that group's resources. If the user clicks OK, the save goes thru; If the user clicks Cancel, the save stops.

All users that have not logged in and try to view a private group or its assets will now be redirected to the login page. Users will no longer receive an error when this occurs.

Admin users will now see the correct banner for the group they are viewing. If it’s a private group, the banner will say “Private”, if it’s a hidden group, the banner will say “Hidden”.

Users will no longer see an error when trying to invite all of their friends to join a group.
Blogs

Blog Admin users, whose permissions have been set to receive blog notification emails for comments and/or changes to a blog, will now receive those emails correctly.
Discussions
-
When a user “Likes” a topic, the like button no longer jumps down one line.

Admins and topic owners can now delete a topic in Discussions.
Profile
-
The comment authors name has now been added to the ‘New Profile’ comment emails.

Admins can now change a user's profile URL without error, even if the user has not setup a personal blog.
Polls
-
Issues with not being able to create a poll, has been resolved.
