This blog will highlight weekly, monthly and quarterly code releases.
On October 18th, at 6:00am, ThePort Network will have a ‘Minor Release’ to all communities. The release impacts all clients using ThePort Social or Blackbaud Social community software. This will be a Medium Impact/Medium Risk release and will include the following enhancements and bug fixes:
Enhancements:
• A new interface that gives Admins the ability to change the title/description of a global widget.
Bug Fixes:
Messages/Commenting
• A user's inline comments are now removed when they are banned or deactivated.
• Random letters will no longer appear in the activity feed for most recent posts.
• Users are now able to reply to messages without receiving an error message.
Groups
• Members of a group that is owned by someone else, can now create a wiki.
• When a group’s admin changes the name of the group, the photo albums and the photos contained within the album, will now display. The url is renamed correctly.
• The Login link on user group profiles now appends the current page. It will no longer take the user to their dashboard.
• Group members (non-admin/owners) no longer have the ability to edit the group’s profile via a link in the right rail.
• When a user who is an admin of a group, or a non-member with the Social Spaces permission in Admin tries to save a change to a group, it will no longer throw an error.
Blogs
• Blogs 1.0 has been updated to include Captcha.
• Blog Posts that are "scheduled" to post on a specific date, will now display when they are suppose to.
Caching
• Update to the thumbnail image handler, photos should appear faster.
• Wiki will now update immediately when a user adds content.
Misc.
• The global widgets that are offered will currently show independent of which features (photos, blogs, etc) are available to a client. This change makes specific widgets and categories unavailable in the widget selection, if their associated feature is disabled.
A small fix was pushed to Production today. There is no impact with this fix.
Bug: Bulletin emails are being received blank.
Fix: The Sender, Message and link will now display in the Bulletin emails.
